I have over 20 years of experience designing, embedding, and maturing Operational Resilience with in-depth technical knowledge of international standards, regulations and best practice for Continuity Management, Risk Management and Crisis Management. I add value because I also understand what works in practice, having learned my trade supporting a myriad of organisations and sectors across the UK, Ireland and EU. I’m a qualified Mountain Leader, using my experience through a social enterprise (Positive Steps Outdoors) to connect people to the natural environment, and each other, helping individuals and teams manage life’s pressures, build sustainable networks, strengthen future resilience and deepen their affinity with the environment.The main facets to my career at this stage are: ▶︎ I am passionate about moving customers beyond the status quo through assisting them to mature their resilience, bringing greater coherence to business gaols, a deeper integration of resilience disciplines and the embedding of true capability in teams and arrangements.▶︎ I worked alongside my clients to ensure adopted resilience models align with best practice while, crucially, remaining bespoke and reflective of their context, culture and customers.▶︎ I’ve been fortunate enough to work with significant, and regulated, financial, insurance, aviation and charity sector organisations, family businesses, universities, heavy manufacturing companies, construction businesses, FMCG organisations, food manufacturers, regulators, utilities, transport providers, recreation services and others. ▶︎ I contribute to thought leadership, penning peer reviewed articles and papers for professional bodies and publications.
