I worked in Operations/IT at Apogee. I managed all servers and middleware for the Stream2 line of products. Users of the Stream2 product are able to stream local, national and specialty sports network channels to any device of their choosing.

I started out as the sole Sales Engineer handling the full sales cycle. My account executives were spread out across the US, so I was tasked with covering a very large territory by myself. Eventually I was able to hire additional Sales Engineers to cover the territory.During my time at SAFARI:- Led regular training sessions with account executives, channel partners and key customers.- Supported pre and post-sales motions as well as hand-offs to installers and customer support- Led enablement sessions for vendors to ensure our product was being represented well and roadmap was positioned properly with their customers.- Took on Tier 3 support cases when customer support needed assistance or could not address problems remotely.- Adopted cost-saving measures for team to lower costs of travel and R&D.- Established best practices for SE team related to product rollout, handoff to customer success/support and incident triage.- Managed rollout of several statewide server implementations, spanning hundreds of thousands of square miles. - Delivered Projects on time and within budget- Grew revenue and margin year over year

In this role I was responsible for live event production as well as editing and publishing all internal and external facing videos. In my time there, I:- Launched Live and VOD Streaming servers to get video content shared with employees and the community.- Rolled out the SAFARI Montage product stack into the network. This consisted of 10+ servers dedicated to streaming live and VOD content to students and teachers in classrooms and at home.- Shot and directed 30-40 live events per year.- Built out video studio with video production equipment and 4 editing bays.- Implemented and streamlined content lifecycle best practices for our content DAM- Produced, Shot and Edited hundreds of hours of published content each year.- Launched Keller ISD film festival to encourage students to participate in the arts. In my final year at Keller, there were over 450 entries to the festival.

Starting out as an internship for the first few weeks, it was quickly realized the impact that I could make as a regular employee. When I completed my CCNA certification in June of 2002, I took on more leadership roles. I oversaw upgrades to Cisco hardware and software that spanned over 38 Campuses. I also set up a testing lab where we rolled out updates before pushing them to production. I managed many of the server upgrade during this time as well. When I started, we were managing Novell servers. Eventually we made a large migration over to Windows Services throughout the network. In the district IT department, we ensured reliable service for over 40,000 users.I worked part time in this role through high school, college and even after when I eventually moved into a full-time role in 2009.

In this role, I was responsible for creating and maintaining all web properties managed by Lake Sound. I maintained all hosting, billing and design of over 100 sites. Several of the web properties were commerce driven. I maintained a database of product inventory, pricing and all other marketing-based collateral. While in this role, I also edited images, video and audio to support the company. I also supported the graphic design and production staff with network and hardware upgrades. I also assisted in the production and recording of audio cassettes, CDs and DVDs. I also assisted in on-site live audio production at many events during my time there.
