Alan is an inspirational and 'hands on' leader with 35 years experience working for IBM and smaller businesses in business management, marketing and client exec roles. With experience in both strategic marketing and marcomms roles, Alan is adept at helping organisations develop their go-to-market propositions and then building the programmes and infrastructure to deliver them. Since leaving IBM at the end of 2012, Alan has worked with a number of SME & start-up organisations, primarily on brand-positioning, value proposition development and creating initial marketing programmes. An innovative brand marketer, his two most recent assignments have seen him help small businesses develop their marketing strategy and then take that and turn it into reality by building basic marketing infrastructures including branding, web sites and campaigns. More than just a 'consultant', Alan is execution and delivery focused, and enjoys taking a project from initial conception to delivery and reporting.
