Senior Developer on a Project team creating an all new front end processing interface for new credit card applications in the banking business. Responsible for the Main Function driver and Process driver. These online CICS modules, designed to function across multiple CICS Regions, were written in COBOL/390, used SQL for DB2, including Stored Procs, and interfaced with MQSeries queues for both input and output. Performed analysis, design and debugging as part of a team for the entire development lifecycle from Initial Business Requirements, through Conceptual/Functional Specifications, System Specifications, Program and Unit test Specs, Coding, System Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Verification Testing, and Implementation.

Global Investment Custody systems: Performance Analysis, Tuning and Redesign of multi-trillion dollar financial securities processing on an OS/390 system. Mainframe COBOL II / 390 batch and CICS programs and queue handling, DB2 tables, VSAM files, JCL and PROCs.

Bridge contract - This is a job shop for the life and health insurance industry: Did Analysis and Redesign of Model Office environment for health and life insurance software. Mainframe COBOLII batch and CICS programs, VSAM files, JCL. Maintenance on databases.

Analysis, Design, Programming, and Debugging a mainframe COBOL II / CICS application to duplicate the functionality of an existing Foxpro P.C. based application. Learned and used ADABAS embedded SQL. Designed and coded 23 screens in CICS. Wrote and ran several dozen scripts for Y2K testing of existing systems. Used INTERTEST extensively in development.

Package, renovate, and unit test various mainframe subsystems for Year 2000 compliance. Learn and use Micro Focus “Revolve 2000” analysis tool for Y2K. Languages include all from previous experience (see below), and many additional mainframe languages and code generation tools.

Analysis, Support, Documentation and Enhancement to their installation of a Telco Research phone call analysis & costing system. Worked with JCL, COBOL II, CICS, and VSAM files. Responsible to oversee my own work and another consultant, diagram project flows, and report to V.P.

Full Life Cycle Analysis, Design, Coding, Testing, Implementation and Training three special purpose projects in COBOL II / CICS, IMS-DB, and DB2: Sheriff's Booking subsystem of the Criminal Justice System, Fine Tracking susbsystem of the County Clerk's Office, and Court Docket Settings for the County Clerk's Office. Redesigned the Criminal Fines and Costs Management susbsystem, accessing IMS-DB databases online simultaneous with DB2 databases.
