Then my fourth-grade teacher changed my life forever through her words and actions. She believed in me, encouraged me, and didn't accept anything but my best effort.She forced me to step up my efforts and be alive and present. I started to lose weight, open up socially, and enjoy life more fully. My grades improved dramatically leading to me earning an academic scholarship to Mercer University, where I was active in student government, president of Phi Delta Theta fraternity, and graduated Magna Cum Laude with dual degrees in Economics and Entrepreneurial Management. After graduation, I decided to pursue a career in financial planning because it would allow me to build deep relationships, be a resource to those I cared about most, and drive change in people's lives just like my fourth-grade teacher did for me!
