Alan began his career as a Millwright working on various large-scale industrial projects in BC and Alberta. While working on these projects Alan realized he had a passion for working with teams and was very driven to streamline operations and to improve overall efficiencies. Over the next 20 years he gained valuable knowledge through education in mechanical engineering, business development, sales and marketing, studying various value-stream principles, as well as computer science. He also took the lead on several high-profile projects such as the US and Canadian Military and special projects with NASA.Alan then spent the next 15 years working in various positions such as an International Project Manager, Operations Manager, Manager of Business Development, Director and VP of Manufacturing in various industries such as Oil and Gas, Mining as well as a variety of other Manufacturing industries.He has worked internationally, manufacturing and installing large scale Amusement Parks and Amusement Park Attraction rides, in which he completed more than 100 projects around the world. He then moved to Alberta in 2009 when he was offered an opportunity to manage a large-scale fabrication company. Shortly after joining the company he become the VP of Manufacturing where he led a team of 300+ people to success as the organization shifted from monthly net losses to substantial profits within a 6-month period. A few years later he took on another challenging role with a large-scale machine shop and had repeated success returning the company back to healthy profits.He is an advocate for seeking “world class” performance and has always encouraged his teams to think outside the box. Alan’s philosophy is to set aggressive goals, collaborate with his team, provide them with the right tools and strong leadership in order for them to be successful.
