PhD Thesis Title: Active Turbulent Boundary Layer Control: An Experimental Evaluation Of Viscous Drag Reduction Using Pulsed-DC Plasma ActuatorsDesigned and conducted experiments for zero pressure gradient turbulent boundary layer drag reduction. Achieved viscous drag reduction at high freestream Mach numbers (comparable to flight conditions) and characterized underlying flow physics. Designed, prototyped and fabricated several electronic devices such has low-pass filters, hot-wire anemometers, etc. used extensively in experimental fluid dynamics research. Experienced in signal processing and data analysis.Trained and mentored undergraduate and graduate students in experimental techniques and analog circuit design. Consulted on numerous experimental studies which utilized plasma flow control.

Worked on a project studying and characterizing cavitation in converging-diverging nozzles using optical techniques such as high-speed imagery and Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV). Involved with the design and setup of the experimental apparatus and data collection and analysis. Efforts culminated in two conference presentations (Heartland Conference 2014 & IMECE 2015) and one conference proceedings publication.
