About Alan Horowitz
In my long career working at a global software vendor of business intelligence and enterprise integration products, I participated in all areas of planning, execution and support of software deliverables. Early on, as a software engineer, I worked on terminal communications for the flagship BI product, mainframe FOCUS. I was also an initial member of the development team for Web390, a startup product providing HTTP integration services for the mainframe. I wrote the 3270-device emulation component and the 3270-datastream to HTML service.Later, in supervisory roles facilitating day to day software development, I gathered requirements, defined work, communicated vision, and resolved problems. I managed local and remote teams, building and supporting a family of java/xml adapters to ERP, CRM and e-business systems. I designed and oversaw the implementation of the data ingestion subsystem for Omni-Gen, a master data management product. Now, as a Data Engineer at Haystacks.ai, I am building out a data platform to support real estate investment analytics.alan.n.horowitz@gmail.com
