Non Exec Board member of ETZ Ltd, ETZ Ltd is a private sector-led and not-for-profit company spearheading the North East of Scotland’s energy transition ambition. ETZ is supported by significant ongoing funding from both the Scottish and UK Governments with a clear ambition to reposition the region as a globally recognised new and green energy cluster.

Served as Founder director and chair of NECCUS from November 2019 to May 2024. NECCUS is a not for profit membership organisation with a mission to support industrial members in their decarbonisation journey towards Net Zero.During my tenure, I chaired 54 board meetings and 5 AGMs, worked with three excellent CEO's in Mike Smith, Ronnie Quinn and now Philippa Parmiter. I deeply appreciate the formative support from Scottish Government, Scottish Enterprise and Opportunity North East / ETZ, essential to setting up the business in 2019. I have worked with a fantastic group of board members both past and present, excellent team of advisors and supportive observers and a great staff team who do a fine job with limited resources. Many thanks to Storegga for providing me with the time to support the NECCUS project. With a record number of members and nominations for new board positions the company is well placed to move forwards and develop its role further in supporting Scottish Industrial decarbonisation and help to deliver the 2045 Net Zero ambition. I am proud to have been part of the project and helped out a little along the way.

CO2DeepStore Ltd is a UK based company specifically focussed on the commercialisation of geological storage of CO2 deep within the earth. The need for this is based on the growing global imperative for immediate and sustained reduction of CO2 emissions to mitigate climate change.

Community Company for Glen Urquhart and Strathglass in Invernesshire. A Registered Scottish Charity.Company raised financing to secure community's participation in a local wind farm project to allow a fifth of the net proceeds (equivalent to 1 turbine) to be invested back into the community.

ERT (UK) Ltd. focuses on UK North Sea activities. The objective is to transport the successful ERT (US) model to the North Sea and become an owner and operator of oil and gas assets in the UK. The combined resources of the Helix Energy Solutions Group will add value and improve the economics of marginal fields. Specific areas of focus where we can add value are in older fields nearing final abandonment and undeveloped discoveries that others find un-economic. ERT (UK) presently owns and operates one field in the UK North Sea, the Camelot area, UKCS 53/1a.
