Diverse career. I started off in IT and Management Consultancy working for Blue Chip clients, before taking an opportunity to run family firm. From here I founded my own specialist manufacturing firm, which I grew to over 40 employees and £3M turnover. Following cash flow issues in 2018 the company was liquidated and assets sold. I led the subsequent relaunch of the business and took sales back to over £220K per month within a 9 month period. Following furlough and redundancy I launched my own software business rewriting an end to end manufacturing and order management system that I had developed whilst owning my own business.

Not only does it offer the standard sales, purchase and manufacturing order management that you would expect in a MRP system, but it manages stock in bar lengths providing the ability to create and re-use offcuts whilst optimising and allocating stock to orders. Additionally, it has its own in built multi-level BOM configurator that can be applied to almost any manufactured item. Sablos offers full barcode tracking throughout manufacture and delivery, as well as additional features such as the ability to record and store images and videos throughout the manufacturing and delivery process. It also has its own customer portal where customers can place orders and track the progress of their purchases. -

Functionality included CRM, Quotations and Lead Management, Sales Pipeline Management, Project Management, Production Scheduling and Tracking, Installation Management, Stock Control Allocation & Optimisation, Purchasing and Document Management• ALUNET integrated with online shop, Braintree payments and 3 specialist software packages in order to obtain Bill of Quantities. It also provided online pricing and quotation functionality for lead generation.• Fabricated windows and doors from 4 main system suppliers – SMARTS, Schueco, Debar and Cortizo. Were one of only a few companies fabricating the Cortizo range of products as these were imported directly from Spain, and one of a few companies who could manufacture the high end Schueco CMC50 roofing system• Highly commended in the RIBAJ Schueco Excellence Awards for Design and Innovation 2016• Invested in CNC machines, and undertook all programming and configuring up of these machines• Lively business, no two days the same, and thoroughly enjoyable• Unfortunately had to close due to unforeseen downturn in 2018 and resulting cash flow issues• Had to make 40 people redundant and manage the resulting fall out from insolvency
