I have a leading role at Kandor taking the lead on most of the 3D modelling using the Rhino program to create the individual model parts from architectural CAD models, so that we can 3D print or mill components for models. Alongside the Rhino modelling I'm making model parts manually or creating them using our 4 laser cutters.As a senior model maker I'm assigned complete model projects from concept to delivery, drawing materials from stock, buying specialist parts and materials and scheduling and planning the programme of works to meet ever demanding deadlines.I hold direct meetings with the customers, most often architects, to discuss materials, finishes and quality of information. Kandor operates on a model team basis where we all join in to support each other to meet deadlines, so alongside leading my own projects I often take supporting roles as well. When models need to be delivered and erected at shows exhibitions, I often form part of the team sent to do this with places like MIPIM, Munich, Kuwait, Abu Dhabi, and Doha on the map as well Canary Wharf.A lot of my work has been for Canary Wharf sites and buildings. I also make a lot of private non-construction models and have uploaded one to this profile

I started at Rawlsberry as a CAD draughtsman for their steel structures and canopies. This developed to undertaking design work including building rain screen cladding panels, soffits, cappings and staircases/balustades. I undertook site surveys to inform the designs. The role developed into one of contract management responsible for material procurement, liaising with the fabrication workshop and working with site labour and customers to deliver successful projects.
