Data doesn’t need to be dull. Data underpins the decisions that every organisation makes, but we need to transform into something engaging, insightful and inspiring to truly drive change. Winning the argument and winning people over are two different things – and only the second one gets things done. That's why I’ve spent 15 years finding the best techniques for bringing data to life through storytelling, and teaching them to ambitious professionals who want to make an impact. -I never set out to work with data. My first career was in journalism, working with brands like Time Out, The Guardian, WIRED and Frieze. This gave me a deep love of storytelling and an affinity for engaging infographics, charts, maps and diagrams. I moved into tech, and found myself building endless slide decks, reports and dashboards. So I used what I'd learned from magazine-world to business communications – and worked with organisations including Trivago, LEGO, the NHS, the British Library, VEON, the Jakarta Post and London School of Economics. Now I work with organisations on how they can communicate more effectively with data. I meet plenty of ambitious professionals who know exactly what the numbers say, but struggle to communicate with stakeholders from different backgrounds. My systems and techniques are road-tested and get results. -Here's how I can help you… 1) Follow me here for effective techniques on communicating data insights, dealing with difficult audiences, the art of persuasion, and developing human skills in the age of AI. 2) Sign up for my newsletter for deep dives into data storytelling and exclusive updates on my free workshops: https://www.fireplusalgebra.com/newsletter3) Drop me a DM or book an appointment to discuss bespoke training for you and your team: https://www.fireplusalgebra.com/contact
