About Alan Larkin
I practised family law for 25 years, with Chambers UK and Legal 500 saying some nice things about me. I co-founded Family Law Partners in 2011 - a team devoted to steering people away from the family court and towards much better outcomes. It really is an excellent firm, for which I can only take a small amount of credit. I have a long-standing interest in the opportunities offered by technology to increase access to family law advice and now devote much of my time to creating such solutions. Amazingly, such behaviour is actively encouraged at Family Law Partners.In 2019 we launched Family Law Lab, an innovation platform to freely share web applications created by Family Law Partners with the wider family law community. Our first application, called Engage, prepares both prospective clients and their family lawyers for the crucial first consultation. Engage has now moved over to Nova Law and will be a commercial offering although still burnishing its access to justice chops by being free to the public.I should add something about the things I do outside of work but, honestly, I don't know where the boundaries are. The main thing is I enjoy what I do and admire the people I get to work with.
