I started my professional path working as a flyer boy, going door to door promoting my father's practice. It is also with my father's practice where I was able to help turn an empty office into a successful practice. It was there I got to use what I learn from computer and tech forums to set up a computer network and system from scratch. Those humble beginnings taught me to be independent and take charge of situation and think quick on my feet. I took what I learnt with me to my formal job as a lab sequencing technician. There I learnt experienced the gratification of working with a team to tackle large or complex problem and solve it with the best of our abilities. At Quintara Bioscience, I was taught how to perform Sanger sequencing and the myriad of other reactions such as PCR, DNA purification and etc that preludes it, but also how to incorporate what I learnt in school, research and pass experience to tackle challenges where there are no manuals for. As Quintara grew, I was taught new skills such as cloning and RNA extractions while also given the chance to analyze data to help address customer questions. I am currently attending UC Davis Part Time MBA program to learn the skills needed to go from working grounds level to more managerial level to better direct success and teamwork.
