Painting:I have painted my impressions of the ever expanding world I live in through the exploration of colour, texture and time. My work has taken many directions expressed in 2 and 3 dimensional pieces. The process has consistently relied on three words... Events...Observations...Decisions... These allow my visual interpretation to have substance and resonance.Architecture:I am grateful I have been an owner, a contractor, a constructor, project manager, interior designer and an architect on over 300 buildings. These range from hospitals (HSC, Baycrest) and universities (Medina) to (200 plus) highrise condominiums (including the Marilyn Monroe Towers) in the Golden Horseshoe, to individual homes and cottages in the Toronto area and north.There is excitement while evaluating our relationship to designing, building and living! It is important to nurture communication and discovery to bring forward ideas that combine the expected and the unexpected. Discussion allows exploration of needs and pleasures, to determine the mix that creates the appropriate built environment for your home or cottage. There is never a time when an idea cannot be explored. There is never an idea that cannot be made a reality. The thing is finding the thoughts and the ideas, then making them work.It is a careful search and a rewarding arrival.
