SAVAS carefully identifies and forms partnerships with high-performance mid-market U.S. fund managers across alternative assets and provide ongoing support to Korean investors to assure that their investments are professionally managed. My partner and I applied our 10 years of cross-border investment experience to create a state of the art investment vehicle that significantly enhances opportunities for Korea-US transactions.

As a founder, I formed three funds to invest in early stage digital ventures and applications: Digital Entertainment Ventures (DEV), DEV Discovery and the Global Gateway Fund. Through these funds collectively, we built a portfolio of investments in over forty companies and five technology accelerators. During this period, I held positions as a director of Redbadge Pacific and a member of the ARC Angel Fund. I was also a regular contributor to Forbes on venture investing.

I formed FLX media to manage the production and global distribution of Eagle FC Mixed Martial Arts programming. Eagle FC was founded by one of the greatest fighters in MMA history, Khabib Nurmagomedov. New events were telecast every month from the state-of-the-art FLX Arena in Miami and select international locations. Live and on-demand programs were distributed internationally to more than 200 countries via the FLXcast apps.

seriesOne was a FinTech company formed by industry veterans with decades of expertise across technology, investment banking, venture capital and financial compliance. The firm enabled security token offerings as well as traditional equity and debt securities by providing strategic counsel, regulatory compliance and fundraising infrastructure.

Formed as MusicNet, with three of the major record companies combining as the majority owner, to digitally distribute music as a service provider for major brands. I changed the name to MediaNet to represent an expanded offering to video and other media types. The Company powered music and media delivery in five territories in the US and Europe for many of the best known names in the business such as Microsoft, Google, AOL, Yahoo, HMV, Virgin, Samsung, Tesco and MTV.

I joined MTV after selling them the interactive music video channel, The Box. I worked on transition of The Box into MTV2 and assisted in MTV’s mobile strategy.

The Box was a cable music video channel that offered its audience the ability to influence the programming by selecting, for a fee, the video that would play next. To complement transactional revenue, we added a national advertising sales revenue stream and grew the distribution to more than 40 million homes. We also successfully launched The Box in several territories in Europe and South America.

StarNet provided targeted cable marketing using a national satellite delivery system tied to smart devices at cable “headends” to display custom marketing messages and commercials for high-profile programs and pay-per-view events. In addition, we had a portfolio of investments in related enterprises such as TV Guide On-Screen and Video Jukebox Network.

I founded Adlink with investments by a group of cable multisystem operators. Adlink’s mission was to reach a cable audience efficiently by interconnecting cable operators and offering advertising agencies a means to place their clients’ commercials on multiple networks and cable systems simultaneously. We fielded the top spot cable advertising sales team and became the largest cable advertising interconnect in the country.
