The products are designed for high volume enterprise applications where speed is critical and downtime is not an option. Alan was an EIR at Ventures West when they decided to fund a small startup in alpha stage. A year later, a "B" round was lead by Globespan Venture Partners and SAP from Boston at a significant pre money increase. We built the team up to 45 people in 18 months, completed a B round and landed beta customers: (Bell, Manulife, Telus, IBM).We also established a record for the greatest distance in running "Live/Live" data centers with a distance of 3,400 KM between sites. -

The exit was very profitable and the investment won the CVCA "deal of the year" award in 2003. -
