As sales director, reporting directly to the managing director, I was responsible for a team of sales staff, working together with a client services team, within the same office. This team maintained an annual turnover of £2.7 million. Encompassed with in-house creative design, marketing and printing, via a five colour B1 size press, leant me towards offering clients a full project management package and building a client partnership. I was also conversant in large format, digital, and screen-printing. I maintained an established and strong working relationship with the majority of my 75 clients. I was responsible for the preparation of all company policies, PQQ and tender documents. The success of these proposals can be seen by the award of 10 national public sector contracts in the last two years with 4 in Scotland and the rest in the North of England. I was successful in the company being awarded these 2-3 year contracts and print framework agreements for Gateshead Council, Durham County Council, North Yorkshire Council, Derwentside Homes, Durham County Council, North Tyneside Council, NHS Tayside, NHS Grampian, East Ayrshire Council, North Lanarkshire Council. I prepared proposals to directors and submit daily, weekly and monthly reports and forecasts for management analysis. Within this function, I generated over 50 new clients with a profitable turnover of almost £200,000 national business, since August 2009, relating mainly to promotional game cards but also direct mail.
