Promoted as strategic and operational leader of IDS’s housing portfolio, I headed tenancy and rental income management, allocations, estate services, repairs and development, community safety and resident engagement, overseeing a team of seven, with 25 reports.Over the course of three years, I drove continuous improvement to customer satisfaction metrics, whilst leading a programme of change to operational model, processes and communication that reduced operational cost and cut rent arrears.In addition, I led team preparations achieving the highest possible G1 rating for Governance and V1 rating for Viability (2018 / 2019) and ensured 100% compliance to regulatory requirements surrounding health and safety, rent setting and data protection.Other projects included a digital transformation for improvement to business intelligence and resident services, initiatives to support residents with Universal Credit roll-out, and preservation of key services in an environment of funding withdrawal.

I was recruited to Industrial Dwellings Society as one of two Area Housing Managers, and latterly promoted to integrate the two teams with full responsibility for day-to-day management and welfare functions. In addition to merging the two area teams, which improved service delivery and cost, I delivered year-on-year customer satisfaction improvements through a step change in new tenant management, repairs and maintenance, and resident engagement.In addition, I delivered a number of strategic projects, with highlights including a community safety initiative which generated substantial social value (independently assessed by HACT), an anti-fraud programme which brought significant numbers of flats back into legitimate tenancy, and a remediation programme as part of a management agreement with a local housing co-op.
