I am a chemical engineer working to support sales in a wide variety of industries, including semiconductor, chemical manufacture, and food & beverage. In the summer of 2017 I had the opportunity to work with Craft Brew Alliance to learn the brewing process and make recommendations for their handling of wastewater at their Portland, Oregon brewery. My project won the 2018 Most Valuable Pollution Prevention Project from the National Pollution Prevention Roundtable. The project saved over $150,000 annually by redirecting a waste stream to be reused in organic fertilizer. My interests lie in process engineering and project management. It is my firmly held belief that sustainability and profit can walk hand in hand.
