• Conducted spawning surveys in the Lake Washington watershed for Chinook, Sockeye, Coho, Kokanee, and Coastal Cutthroat Trout. Collected population data (redd counts and waypoints, live and dead fish counts) and biological samples (sex, fork and post orbital hypural length, scales for aging, degree of egg voidance, and DNA samples) used in calculating fish escapement estimates.• Identified and tallied adult Chinook, Sockeye, and Coho Salmon at the Ballard Locks.• Daily surveys were conducted by foot and pontoon boat. Collected biological data to aid in estimating juvenile abundance, migration timing, and size distribution of juvenile salmonoids. Externally marked a portion of the catch to estimate trapping efficiency in weekly mark release groups.• Performed daily tagging of juvenile Chinook and Coho captured in the screw trap. Managed PIT-tag data in spread sheets for the development of technical reports and season updates. Tracked tags when they were scanned by PIT-tag arrays at the Ballard Locks.• Maintained tags, gear, and equipment for tagging studies.

•Recorded and monitored the natural spawning escapement of adult Steelhead and Cutthroat in South Puget Sound and Hood Canal. Conducted red counts and recorded live and dead fish counts. •Surveys were conducted by foot (two days per week) and pontoon boat (three days per week) in all weather conditions and over difficult terrain in remote areas. Rafting was performed in Class I+ rapids.

•Provided environmental education to visiting grade school groups consisting of up to fifty-five students from across the Seattle area. An extension of the Seattle Salmon in the Schools program. •Led stream walks to view spawning Coho and Chum, performed demonstrative adult salmon dissections and explained the salmon life cycle through interactive simulations. Interpreted salmon life history, ecology, and biology to youth between first and fifth grade.

•Sampled outgoing juvenile Pacific salmon traveling through bypass systems present at Rocky Reach and Rock Island hydroelectric dam facilities. Speciated between Chinook, Coho, Sockeye, and Steelhead smolts and fry. •Utilized MK25 Implant Guns to mark ten-thousand hatchery reared Chinook smolts with Passive Integrated Transponder (PIT) tags. Daily tagged juvenile chinook and steelhead collected in bypass traps. •Surveyed major spawning tributaries within the Wenatchee subbasin for spring Chinook redds and carcasses by foot. Collected information on spawn time, redd life, location, and abundance. Sampled Chinook salmon with electronic CWT detection wand and removed snouts containing CWTs and collected biological data and samples from carcasses. Able to walk 5+ miles in remote areas over difficult terrain. •Conducted snorkel surveys in the Chelan River for resident and migratory fish populations. Performed fish rescues in drainage canals for Pacific lamprey and salmonoids using electroshocking equipment.

•Senior guard position with management responsibilities for a staff of twenty-five lifeguards. •Planned special events for the community including weekly themed swims for over one-hundred patrons. Followed a limited budget, designed promotional fliers, managed staff and volunteers, coordinated with donors and vendors via email and telephone correspondence and organized interactive games, prizes, and food for each event.
