Hi, my name is Alan, and I'm a Mechanical Engineering student in my final year of my bachelor's degree, passionate about designing creative solutions to complex problems. I'm excited to graduate and pursue opportunities where I can further develop my expertise in Mechanical Design.I am currently working as a Manufacturing Engineering Intern at BREG, INC. where I have managed multiple projects involving layout changes with the use of AutoCAD, designed tools using Solidworks, and applied Lean Six Sigma methodology to improve project outcomes. At present, I am working on a capstone project aimed at reducing scrap production for the company.Previously, I interned at TIMSA GENERAL DYNAMICS (NASSCO), where I managed preventive and corrective maintenance for critical and non-critical machinery, with a focus on welding machines. I utilized data visualization tools such as Excel and Power BI to track and analyze machinery’s weekly and monthly progress while providing proactive solutions to address machinery with a tendency to break down. Additionally, I have experience working as an Archive Control Analyst at the Institute of Mobile Sustainability of the State where I managed the complete administration of public transportation service files for the city. My goal is to contribute to a dynamic engineering team and make a meaningful impact through innovative solutions and continuous learning. As a soon-to-be-graduate of Mechanical Engineering, I am eager to push my limits of learning and apply my skills and knowledge in areas such as Mechanical Design or Thermo-Design analysis.
