My origin story is retail and tech support. I spent a decade climbing the ladder at Best Buy, from occasional seasonal sales in a small store in Sandusky, Ohio to leading an online strategy team at the corporate office in Minnesota. During those years, we created some groundbreaking projects, including the launch of the company's first remote team (Geek Squad Online Support) and a collaboration with the Chief Ethics Officer (Agent of Justice).In the end, though it was the start of many great professional relationships that continue today, the corporate world moved a bit slow for me.I briefly joined the Quicken Loans IT team after my time with Best Buy. I picked up some valuable experience providing IT support in an enterprise environment, but quickly realized that I needed the "customer" part of customer support to be fulfilled, and that commuting every day really wasn't for me.Since 2014, I have worked for three startups, focused on laying the foundation for customer service and success excellence. I have created self-help tools, onboarding plans, customer lifecycle roadmaps, and handled front-line customer communication for each team, providing a stellar support reputation, high retention, and a feedback loop to keep product development focused on the end user.In early 2018, I joined the two founders of TravelJoy as the first full time hire, building our service and success operation from the ground up. As a member of a very small team, I have the opportunity to wear many hats: customer service, tech support, community management, marketing, product management, and others. Our team and company are growing rapidly and we're poised to take the travel agent software industry by storm.
