Previously managing a cross functional engineering team, together with support from operations, to improve operational efficiency through improved labor utilization, and lower variable structural costs. Other immediate activities include, leading teams to drive improved quality through six sigma methodologies and lean thinking.Working cross-functionally, I have teamed with multiple levels of plant staff in implementation of the Electrolux Lean Manufacturing System (EMS) which has resulted in the Memphis facility receiving its first lean certification from corporate; worked with the shop team in design of new ergonomic improvements reducing high-risk activities 60% and brought about a 50% increase in performance within the OEE program with members of engineering, maintenance, and production leaders.Other changes I have brought about include implementation of a CMMS system that has generated an 80% improvement in equipment and die time; dropped expenses in indirect materials, external services, and maintenance out lays by 50%, while capturing $4.5M annually through a series of assembly line rebalancing activities.

Trained the initial employee group; averted shortages with increased inventory into the DC’s, and purchased a majority of new equipment rather than relocating existing equipment, ensuring zero delays in startup. • Decreasing warranty issues from 10% up to ~100% across multiple product lines with Six Sigma initiatives and introduction of new-to-the-industry testing procedures. • Achieving a 30% improvement coating testing performance through replacement of painting processes with a heat-resistant polymer.
