I was at the Gannett Company for over 20 years in a variety of technology leadership roles. Over the last two decades, in an era of significant downturn in the local media industry, Gannett transformed itself from a newspaper holding company to a single media and marketing solutions company. Throughout that time, I was a leader at Gannett who helped guide the company’s technology transformation from one of multiple individual newspaper computing solutions and organizations to a single technology organization that provided consolidated and standardized solutions across the entire enterprise. People-leading and influencing has always been integral to my success. While I have successfully developed and led teams of both direct and indirect reports for almost my entire career, even more important has been my leadership and influencing capabilities outside of my formal organization. Major Accomplishments As Director, It Lifecycle ServicesGannett | Usa Today Network Apr 2019 - Jan 2022New York, Ny, Us• As a result of a 2019 company merger, ensured that workstations were appropriately managed and protected and account management standards were consistent regardless of the source company.• Due to Covid-19, pivoted, in just a few weeks, from the paradigm of managing most users and workstations in networked and defined facilities to a paradigm of managing almost all users and workstations remotely. This included assisting the business in identifying and implementing necessary workflow and process changes. • Created the IT Lifecycle Services Team from the User Lifecycle, Client Computing, Asset Management, Purchasing, and Mobile Device teams and function areas.• Envisioned and led the implementation of a near zero-touch workstation deployment strategy using Microsoft’s Automate, Azure AD, and Intune/SCCM technologies for PCs and Jamf/Apple Business Manager capabilities for Macs.• Envisioned and led the implementation of automation capabilities for account provisioning processes resulting in over 70% of tasks being completely automated with most remaining tasks semi-automated.• Managed the continuous refresh process for 13,000 laptops and desktops across the enterprise.
