Duties included:• Responsible for the delivery of technical, recovery, transport and supply services and capability to 2 Cavalry Regiment including strategic planning and operational logistic support.• Ensure the operational availability, readiness and capability of all personnel and squadron vehicles;• Ensure that all personnel are trained and competent for their role and that they conduct their business within the Health & Safety at Work regulatory framework;• Advise the Chief Executive Officer on equipment and logistic support matters and make engineering decisions where necessary;• Plan and deliver logistic support to the Australian Task Force of over 250 personnel in Afghanistan using logistic hubs in Afghanistan, UAE and several Australian locations;• Plan and move all personnel, equipment and cargo from Australia to Afghanistan and return.
