Network Engineer
CurrentSecret Clarence I perform the daily tasks of operating and maintaining the Global Agile Integrated Transport (GAIT) Network Service Center (NSC). GAIT is a colorless (transport) MPLS network that connects each of the Army Regional Hub Nodes (RHNs), multiple DoD Teleports (SATCOM only), and other points of presence together in support of a global tactical network.I setup, troubleshoot and understand: Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS), MPLS Layer 3 VPN, Multicast, switch technologies, and Riverbed wide area network (WAN) accelerators. I also use and maintain Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), and Dynamic Multipoint Virtual Private Network (DMVPN) within the network.I use Ansible to run playbooks/.YML files to generate mission packets and device configurations. As well as edit the .YML files when new devices and subnets are added to the network.
