My main role as Systems Development Manager is to ensure day-to-day business continuity for all of our IT Systems and Communications equipment and providing 1st line support to all members of staff. I frequently have the opportunity to create "on-the-fly" solutions to support the business where supplier/customer data needs to be manipulated or converted to work with SAP B1 - this enables the business to process customer requirements fast and provide a quick turn around.I have extensive knowledge and daily experience working in the following areas:- * Cross-System Data Integration with Live SAP B1 Production databases and multiple external bespoke database applications.* Complex SQL Query/View design.* VBScript (Access Database and Excel Macros) - Bespoke design and development of Access and Excel Applications to support Internal, Supplier and Customer requirements.* Advanced Excel Formula and calculations.* Integration with external supplier data sources via scheduled data collection, conversion and import routeens.* SAP B1 Customisation (UDF, Formatted Searches, Query Writing and PLD Report), DTW and external integration.* SAP B1 Data Analysis and Reporting through bespoke applications to other members of staff directly including CEO and Directors.* Internal Website design and development (HTML, CSS, PHP, Javascript) and interface with SQL & MySQL Databases.* Specification Design for internal and externally developed solutions.* Working directly with other solution providers to design and develop bespoke solutions and applications to integrate with existing systems. This includes tools (manual and automated/scheduled) to import and export data from SAP B1 to external databases and IOS Mobile Applications.* Process Improvement - providing software and/or hardware solutions to streamline, speed up and simplify existing processes.* Data Security (Creating bespoke encoding algorithms for barcode integration with our own systems).

My role within the business was to provide 1st line IT and communications support to the entire business and introduce new solutions either off the shelf like SAP B1 or designing and developing bespoke solutions. The majority of my time was fire fighting IT Equipment problems, data corruptions/errors (within old out-dated software such as 4D) which meant that creating new solutions was taking a long time to complete.My aim and goal was to:- * Introduce servers and server software (instead of applications running direct from users desktops).* Replace old computers with Thin Clients and implement Terminal Server / RDP Solution.* Replace old network solution with fibre and high quality cabling/wireless solutions with Secure High Quality Cisco Managed Switches and XTN Watchguard Firewalls (via 3rd Party Solution Provider).* Replace 4D and Sage Line 50 with SAP B1.* Design and Create new solutions to aid the business with Purchasing core products.* Replace broadband with BTNet Lease Line Solution. * Provide business continuity through a DR Solution and have an active managed support company to maintain our servers/server software.* To provide a telephone system solution to replace older BT Versatility systems (Mitel / BT OnePhone)This was completed in 2014
