Managed Aegon UK’s closed book of Individual Protection customers in line with industry regulation (including Consumer Duty) until the transfer of these customers to Royal London on 1st July 2024.Member of the steering committee overseeing the successful transfer of circa 400,000 customers from Aegon UK to Royal London.Work stream lead on the transfer of knowledge and information to Royal London to facilitate day 1 readiness.Member of Part VII work stream with responsibility for:- Customer address tracing,- Design, planning and execution of customer mailing,- Design, set-up and monitoring of operational response to customer mailing,- Managing, recording and reporting on customer objections.Planned and executed cutover activity around the 1st July transfer date.Providing post-transfer programme support to Royal London.

Managed Aegon UK’s Individual Protection Proposition in line with the commercial objectives of the business and industry regulation. One direct report - Protection Proposition ConsultantDesigned and delivered proposition enhancements which increased new business by over 20%. Highlights include:- Launch of underwritten Whole of life product,- Launch of Relevant Life policy as part of business menu and then as stand-alone product,- Annual upgrades to Personal and Business Menu products,- Procurement and onboarding of UnderwriteMe underwriting engine and development of new online quote and apply service,- Designed and launched of online Adviser Dashboard - combination and upgrade of quote and apply, tracking and document services.Input to 3-year rolling business plan and developed, maintained and communicated a 12-month proposition development roadmap.Member of Protection Steering Group - a senior cross-functional team chaired by the Protection Director with commercial responsibility for the Protection business that makes both strategic and tactical decisions on the direction of the business, including proposition improvements.Ensured opportunities existed for innovation - idea generation and screening. Made sure these processes were informed with customer and market knowledge and commercial awareness.Ensured proposition enhancements were designed and delivered in line with Aegon UK Proposition Development PolicyWorked closely with the Product Governance team on Product Lifecycle Reviews and annual Fair Value Assessments.Commercial responsibility for relationships including the negotiation of a number of contract renewals with:Industry portals - Iress, iPipeline, Synaptic, UnderwriteMe,Suppliers of Policy Plus services - Health Assured, Red Arc, FSPG recruitment.Managed relationships with market influencers (e.g. Defaqto, F&TRC, CI expert) to make sure propositions are represented in the most positive way.
