Daily tasks:-Business manager backup/team lead (commercial and supervisory). -Organizing port calls and financing port costs for oil and gas tankers (with focus on LNG sector).-Oversaw vessel port calls, understanding operations and negotiating cost savings on behalf of major principles: Atlantic Tankers, Atlantic Trading and Marketing Inc., BG Group, Cheniere LNG, Chevron, ConocoPhillips, Chartering and Shipping Services S.A., Excelerate Energy, Gazprom, Hyundai Oilbank, Idemitsu Tanker, Methanol Holdings, Petredec, RasGas, STASCO, TOTSA/Total and Total E&P Norge. Highlights:-Total port calls: 1300+ Total funds approved: ~$60,000,000+. Total client cost savings: ~$2,000,000.-Variance between pre-call funding and post-call account settlement: 4.5%. Saved one client $200,000 by researching best location for bunkering off SE coast of South America in May 2015 under time crunch. -Saved client substantial cost by researching options for disembarking armed security in Persian Gulf avoiding costly overshoot of laycan for scheduled delivery of LNG cargo. -Researching commercial options & infrastructure for delivery of LNG to local utilities in Caribbean for client. -Ran global BG Group account from 02/15/15 – 10/1/16 (oversaw global account for GAC Houston, London, Dubai and Singapore hub offices from 07/15/15 – 10/1/16). Commercial Responsibilities:-Negotiating agency fees, calculated port tariffs, and coordinated directly with port agents and authorities on every continent minus Antarctica. -Assisting in finding best port of call or bunkering location for clients based on costs, government restrictions or best location given voyage. -Researched tariffs and port restrictions based on client criteria. Preparing HSSE documents and reports for clients. -Investigating maritime security issues. -Completed extensive global port cost projects with hundreds of ports/estimates. -Prepared and analyzed data for quarterly KPIs and presenting findings before clients.
