About Alan Van Griethuysen

I began my career at the European Options Exchange. When the EOE merged with the Amsterdam Stock Exchange Association in 1997 to create Amsterdam Exchanges, I was appointed Deputy Director of the derivatives market responsible for the floor to screen migration of the Amsterdam options and futures products from 1998 to December 2002. In 2000 I was promoted to the position of Director. Following the initial three-way merger of the local exchanges of Amsterdam, Brussels and Paris to form Euronext, I was promoted to Executive Director of derivative markets. After the acquisition of LIFFE (the London-based derivatives market), I was responsible for the migration of the Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam derivatives market to LIFFE CONNECT®. In 2003 I was appointed Executive Director of Sales Euronext Liffe. With the creation of NYSE Euronext in 2007, I also assumed responsibility for the strategic development of the Asian market. From 2009 until August 2012 I was Regional Business Head; as Executive Director I was responsible for Benelux (Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg), Germany, Scandinavia, Switzerland, Asia, and also for Business Intelligence and the Dutch & Belgium Retail Services. In the past I have been board member of the Swiss Futures and Options Association (SFOA), President of the Association of Futures Markets, board member of the Dutch Integrity Institute (DSI), board member (Secretary) of the Stichting Schadefonds Beleggers (SSB), Member of the Supervisory Board of the Association of Futures Markets and board member of Stichting Capital Amsterdam. In 2013 I started GrinneR Management & Consultancy and started activities as Sr, Advisor at NPEX, the exchange for Dutch SME's and Advisor and Project Manager at TOM (the order machine) developing a new Dutch index, the NL20 Index. As from December 2014, I was appointed Director at NPEX and as from October 2018 I am Chief Commercial Officer at NPEX.
