I began my career at the European Options Exchange. When the EOE merged with the Amsterdam Stock Exchange Association in 1997 to create Amsterdam Exchanges, I was appointed Deputy Director of the derivatives market responsible for the floor to screen migration of the Amsterdam options and futures products from 1998 to December 2002. In 2000 I was promoted to the position of Director. Following the initial three-way merger of the local exchanges of Amsterdam, Brussels and Paris to form Euronext, I was promoted to Executive Director of derivative markets. After the acquisition of LIFFE (the London-based derivatives market), I was responsible for the migration of the Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam derivatives market to LIFFE CONNECT®. In 2003 I was appointed Executive Director of Sales Euronext Liffe. With the creation of NYSE Euronext in 2007, I also assumed responsibility for the strategic development of the Asian market. From 2009 until August 2012 I was Regional Business Head; as Executive Director I was responsible for Benelux (Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg), Germany, Scandinavia, Switzerland, Asia, and also for Business Intelligence and the Dutch & Belgium Retail Services.
