I am currently attending the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a passion to pursue the field of medicine as an anesthesiologist. By declaring biochemistry with minors in chemistry and mathematics under a pre-med track, I am enthusiastic to expand my understand of the scientific nature of biochemistry and its possible applications to biomedical innovations. I am enthusiastic to narrow the language-barrier faced within healthcare. For the past year, I have been employed as a certified nursing assistant under the CommonSpirit Health hospital centers. This valuable first hands-on experience on the various floors allowed me to develop key skills necessary for medicine: patience, patient advocacy, responsibility. Forging a new perspective to develop a connection between biomedicine and the patient. During my time in high school, I was a member of the Nebraska College Preparatory Academy, a scholarship program, available to low-income, first-generation students. During this time, I was able to gain leadership skills through peer mentorship, research skills by projects, and hands-on volunteering.
