In this role I led the worldwide sales and marketing teams for all Microsoft's products and online services in Education. We turned this into one of Microsoft's fastest growing businesses in both market share and revenue over two years. I was privileged to also contribute to the Partners in Learning efforts where Microsoft donated $50m annually to help countries transform Education through training, technology and learning innovation.

In this role I developed new strategies for growth and to meet competitive challenges, for the Information Worker Group at Microsoft. This involved a number of initiatives, including standardizing document formats, growing the Public Sector and Education businesses, and also extending our reach with innovative approaches to Emerging Markets around the world.

I was the lead product manager behind Microsoft moving into embedded and television software. I was the 'finder' of WebTV behind the acquisition and was a marketing leader as we shipped WebTV versions, and the world's first fully broadband interactive TV, and Digital Video recording products. Today this work is reflected in Windows Media, Windows Media Center, and the MediaRoom IPTV efforts. I led the team that worked with the leading network operators all over the world to introduce new digital television services.

In my early days at Microsoft I drove innovative channel marketing and sales as a marketing manager, creating new 'startups' within Microsoft. As an example, I started and then supported MS's first Inside Sales work. More importantly, I invented, launched and grew the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Program, that has since become the world's largest and best technology partnership program.

Managed the professional staffing for the Oklahoma State Senate in a bipartisan role, responsible for drafting all legislation and developing the state budget.
