Rikets Lilled is 28 years old Estonian family business. Rikets is a leading retail chain with 23 flower shops in different locations in Estonia. My task as Rikets interim manger is to assist company owners in setting goals and creating action plans, creating a new company structure, implementing management changes.

My task as interim general manager at Welding Group was implementing projects and initiating changes, which we had agreed beforehand with owner of the company. Welding Group is a producer of packages for food industry, big part of production goes for export. Company is located in Tartu, Estonia, www.vaakumpakend.eeMy main achievements during 1-year assignment at Welding Group:- Conducting ISO-22000 food safety evaluation process. This was a major undertaking, we had to change our processes, describe, implement new ones, also persuade company employees to participate in a project etc.- Implementing Enterprise Resource Planning system ERP. Our company management took digitalisation training course by Enterprise of Estonia, EAS. As a result we were able to describe all processes AS-IS, TO-BE, find a best ERP solution and hire partners to digitalise our processes. This work is still underway.- Creating a salary system for production employees, taking in account experience and knowledge of each employee. New salary system is fair by nature, supports rotating and development of employees and rewards employees for good financial results.- We hired and trained new production employees, which is essential for increasing production. We also hired sales representative and food quality specialist.While implementing change, it is important to bring in additional people with competencies in need. This creates so called critical mass for starting change. It was quite an intense year for me, I wish my former colleagues all the best in developing and growing the company. As a member of a working group, I participated in more than 20 management meetings and conducted several interviews with heads of different municipal bodies.As a result, we created and presented proposals for improvement of city management, including: - Amendments to Tallinn Strategy 2035. - Common objectives and goals for city government. - City organisational structure. - City support services and services for end users. - Internal communications.It was an intense period of 4 months, full of meetings and discussions with colleagues from the city. I wish my Tallinn city colleagues success in implementing the proposals and developing city management.

The main objective of our work was to reduce traffic congestion in a central part of Kyiv. In order to achieve this, city parking development working group carried through next initiatives:+ We created city parking inspection, started issuing fines for traffic rules violations and for unpaid parking.+ We started a process of drawing up city streets, in order to reduce congestion and make them safer for all participants. We managed to create projects for 48 streets, 25 kilometres during one year.+ We set up brand new signage on 2 streets Sofiivska and Mala Zhytomyrska as a pilot project, with new pedestrian crossings, parking spaces, etc.+ We launched a tender process for purchasing centralised billing system for paid parking and also for automation of parking inspection work.I hope these initiatives will grow in time and give a quick result in reducing Kyiv traffic congestion and as a result make city streets safer for everybody.
