I work as part of the Older People's Team on the Supporting Active Engagement project. We run 10 week iPad classes for older people to enhance their digital skills and promote the use of technology to access their rights and entitlements. I manage 2 websites as part of this project - Rights4seniors.net and POPNI.net in addition to hosting information sessions on benefits, scams and money management.

The Welfare Reform Support Project was established in 2016 to provide additional support to frontline advice services to assist in the transition towards Welfare Reform in Northern Ireland. ◆ Deliver face to face and telephone advice to the public across North Belfast and currently have an active case load of over 100 clients◆ Advise on Welfare Reform issues which requires keeping up to date with legislative changes and explaining these to clients in easy to understand language◆ Work both individually and collaboratively to achieve the best outcome for a client’s case which includes referring onto specialist services when necessary◆ Aim to maximise client’s income and in the first 6 months of the project I have generated over £200,000 for clients ◆ Conduct promotional activities to increase awareness of the project which includes both traditional and digital marketing
