In addition to completing my thesis, I had the opportunity to undertake an additional project and apply my skills in aviation psychology and human factors in the Cessna-172 flight simulator. This project investigated the memorability of experiences in an aviation context, specifically the memorability of ‘black swan events’.I created written resources for the project, created and coded flights, and recruited, scheduled and ran participants for their sessions and following sessions.Data collected included flight data (altitude, heading, airspeed, vertical airspeed) and eye tracking data.

Every week as a lab demonstrator, I taught a approximately 30 second year psychology students during the semester for the PSYC212 (Social and Applied Psychology). Alongside teaching, I graded weekly lab assignments, and the students' two major assignments for the PSYC212 course; literature review and research proposal. This allowed me to assess each student's writing skills and critical thinking skills, and their ability to critically evaluate and propose research.Additionally, I set up and ran lab experiments as a practical component to aid in the students' understanding of the lecture content and course readings. As a housekeeper, I worked with a small team and obtained a sound knowledge of housekeeping processes and procedures. I worked on my own initiative and upheld excellent standards of hygiene and cleanliness and each clean and service was consistently held to a high standard.

I worked with a great team in a small but busy restaurant in a buzzing South Island tourist hotspot, Wanaka. In addition to customer service duties, I handled customer queries and feedback, as well training new staff, stocktake, checking deliveries. Behind the scenes, I worked with the chefs, food handling, food preparation and ensuring health and safety was upheld and kept to a high standard both in the kitchen and front of house.

I have previously cared for a young autistic boy. The position began as a swim coach during the summer while I was also swim training with Wanaka Swim Academy. During the winter season I taught him to rock climb at Base Camp Wanaka.I worked with him on his social skills, fine motor skills, language acquisition, communication, reading skills, confidence, and water confidence and water safety.

As an assistant swim coach, I taught young children (aged 4-10) to swim. This largely involved ensuring each child was safe and comfortable in the water while learning the basics of each swim stroke. As children progressed and changed swim level, I increased the level of difficulty for each program and created swim programs each week.
