Architect standardized hardware reference designs for various levels of infrastructure for the AMS 6 suite of products. Integrate AMS 6 with multiple infrastructure components such as operating system, backup systems, antivirus, security patch updates, etc. Create and publish all AMS 6 documentation related to infrastructure. Assist TDA’s and the AMS CoE in designing and validating solutions for specific customer projects. Provide Level 3 infrastructure support for AMS sites globally.

Rebuilt server domain environment on Windows Server 2003/2008 platform. Active Directory Domain migrated from Windows 2000 to Windows 2003 and then to 2008 R2. Planned and implemented the migration of email platform from Exchange 2000 to Exchange 2003 and later to a redundant multisite Exchange 2007 system and finally to Exchange 2010. Worked as one of the project leads on a TSA team with Thomson Reuters to split the Aegis domain in two and migrate relevant Active Directory user accounts, security groups, Exchange mailboxes, SQL Server 2008 databases, etc. to new forest and domain in a live production environment when Thomson Reuters bought the Aegis product division. Installed NetApp StoreVault SAN with Fibre Channel connections to servers. Redesigned and redeployed DNS architecture for Active Directory. Reengineered backup and Disaster Recovery policies and strategies. Built out and brought multiple regional offices online and onto the Aegis WAN using a hub and spoke topology. Leveraged use of these regional offices in DR/HA plans. Deployed virtual host environment using both VMware server as well as Microsoft Hyper-V technologies. Initiated a project to begin a fully redundant and fault tolerant virtualized server environment utilizing NetApp FAS SAN hardware and clustered Microsoft Hyper-V host servers. Deployed and configured enterprise monitoring software, such as SiteScope and Microsoft System Center Operations Manager. Evaluated multiple email archiving systems to work in conjunction with Exchange 2007 and deployed GFI MailArchiver. This archiving system was eventually outgrown and was again revamped to leverage Microsoft Forefront online protection and archiving for Exchange. Built out entire infrastructure for newly opened offices in Pittsburgh, PA and London, UK. Audited Checkpoint security policies for vulnerabilities. Rebuilt security policies and migrated from Checkpoint 4.1 on a Nokia 330 platform to Checkpoint NGX on a clustered Nokia 390 platform.

Migrated Active Directory forest from a Windows 2000 environment to a Windows 2003 environment. Led initiative to redesign DDNS topology and move from Primary/Secondary type DNS zones to Windows 2003 Active Directory integrated zones running in W2K3 application space. Planned out migration of Multi Site Exchange 5.5 environment to mixed mode Exchange 5.5/2000 environment. Led team through all phases of implementation from lab testing to production deployment.

Served as a senior level consultant in all Microsoft products. Contracted and billed out to multiple clients nationwide. Some of the key projects in which I was involved:Enterprise Products: Performed audit of current NT4 user and resource domain structure as well as Exchange 5.5 environment. Created plan to migrate NT4 user domain to Windows 2000 Active Directory and to collapse all resource domains using Active Directory Migration Tool, as well as migrate Exchange 5.5 environment to Exchange 2000.Marsh Inc: Performed discovery of Windows NT4 domain environment and all associated dependent applications, such as Lotus Notes and custom LDAP database systems. Designed high level and detailed architecture as well as migration plans for shift from NT4 environment to Windows Server 2003 including migration of all associated services, such as WINS, DNS, and CNR based DHCP

Primary functions are to build the corporate presence and spot trading/order entry system from the ground up using Windows 2000 Advanced server/IIS 5.0 on the internet at www.cltrade.com and integrate this site with the global bank internet portal at www.clmarkets.com. Integrated and built upon current internal software technologies such as Limit Sentry order entry system and Tantus dealing system to create a seamless trading environment with full internet capabilities. Managed the migration and physical relocation of the entire technology infrastructure: physical network, communication systems, turrets, and all information systems into our parent bank’s network environment. The project included migrating the dot-com operations and working closely with ISP’s and Internet Domain managers, as the entire IP scheme had to be changed as well as the security and network topology.
