I am a Registered Occupational Therapist with an eye-watering variety of professional training and experience behind me and an ADHD diagnosis to match.After a lifetime struggling to figure myself out, I found my feet in Occupational Therapy, particularly in mental health practice, and especially working with the 12-25 cohort.There's a lot of buzzwords I could throw around to put my Marketing degree to work, but when it comes down to it, the core thing I try to do in my work is be safe, accepting, and compassionate towards everyone I work with.I also try to push my colleagues to be more curious about how they interact with the world around them and would love nothing more in my career than to convince other mental health clinicians that nothing about this work exists in a vacuum and that everything from socioeconomic forces to the choice of lighting in school classrooms has an impact on everyone's mental health.
