-Preventive and Corrective maintenance of Proton-Therapy cyclotron at customers sites.-Follow up of health status of customer's cyclotron, counsel of solutions and upgrades -Calibrations and Validation tests in factory of cyclotron in production-Project responsible and team coordinator.-Installation of the cyclotron in customer site-Remote helpdesk to support sites in case of incidents-Coaching less experienced Field Engineers-Reporting and REX Documentation-Improve and create work instructions and trainings As a Field Maintenance Engineer in the “Flying” team, I take part in the preventive and corrective maintenance on Proton Therapy cyclotrons on customer’s sites. This implies the planning and coordination with sites of procedures, tools and spare parts required during the interventions, always following the safety rules (radioprotection, electrical, work in heights). Afterwards reporting and document the interventions, as well as doing follow up of customer site: follow up health status of cyclotron, counsel customer of solutions and upgrades that improve reliability, stability, and operability.The position also implies taking part in the manufacturing of the cyclotron in factory, doing calibrations and validations tests before the unit is delivered to the customer.As resposable for delivery of the project I did the planning and scheduling of the tests workflow. Coordination of the teams -working in shifts- following the advances and blocking situations.Reporting periodically advances during the project to Quality control team.

-Supervise and repair company's Varian linear accelerators, as well as planning and executing preventive maintenances. -First Point of Contact-Team Coordinator-Remote SupportThe company owns many different models of accelerator: some old “6X” dated from the mid-’70s, “6/100”, Clinac 2000, Clinac 2100, and the last technology with a Trilogy and a True Beam. As part of the job, my responsibilities included working in all of them and understanding the different technologies in each one.I was assigned First Point of Contact and Team Coordinator, responsible for the functioning of 4 accelerators in 3 different locations at the north of Buenos Aires City, one of which is the Hospital Universitario Austral (one of the most important of the country) where the company has a Trilogy and a Clinac 2000.

i-Mater was a medical devices startup I intended to create with a partner and two advisors, in order to apply for investment at CITES’ incubation program. We were one of the 20 projects selected from over 200 startups that applied from Latin-America. We went through the 3 months incubation program, but project was stopped before getting the investment.CITES is one of the biggest technological incubators in Argentina and they only invest on projects that can lead to a patent development. They work with one of the top Israeli intellectual property firms in order to validate the viability of the patents.My role in the startup was the CTO, so I was in charge of the Medical device’s development, as well as demonstrating the product viability and the innovative characteristics of the product to be patented. For this I had numerous video conference calls with Israeli patent-specialist lawyers in order to finally have their approval that there was enough evidence to differentiate us from the competition and have a patent of our own. Also, a prototype was designed and put to test.

The “New Technologies” area’s objective was to develop new features to already manufacturing products in order to fulfil new customer’s needs or improve old devices. The job consisted of doing research of diverse methods which could comply with the requirements, evaluate them and select the best. Afterwards, if needed, a prototype was made and put to test.
