Alaura is a level 2 Professional Aromatherapist and studying herbalist with a focus on bringing education about natural medicine and wild foraging to local communities. Her focus is on supporting persons struggling with autoimmune and chronic illness and the pain and grief that can coincide with these issues. She believes that everyone should be able to take charge of their own health by rediscovering the native medicinal plants in their own backyard.She is also a home funeral guide and pet death doula. She brings support and compassion to those who find themselves confronted with their own death or that of a loved one. She believes conversations around death should be more frequent and therefore less taboo and scary. Alaura also does free-lance writing on various topics.Alaura is the co-owner of Ironhorse Homestead, a small fiber farm and apiary located on 19 acres in Blanchester, Ohio. Alaura raises alpacas, Angora goats, and maintains a small apiary.Alaura is a skilled spinner, weaver and fiber artist who takes a hand in processing the product from start to finish, she believes a quality product takes time and care.
