Aside from having my own personal styling business my passion has always been fashion. I originally came from a retail management and visual merchandising background where I was primarily responsible for the styling of some of the woman's brands that are part of the Just Group. My role was to ensure that all product was displayed and marketed correctly and I was also involved in many store openings, from the shop fitting process to the general store layout and then the final result and sign off. Day to day saw me training store teams to ensure a high standard of merchandising across the brands that I was working with, which often included coming up with different strategies to ensure that these standards were being met.Within this role I learnt a huge amount about brand awareness, time management, creativity and managing teams. My dedication and loyalty saw me in this role at a head office level for 5 years.I then went on to land an event management contract for the NZ Beauty Expo in 2012. During which I was involved in co-ordinating their awards dinner and managing six fashion and makeup stage shows throughout the weekend. This was a great experience and I loved the fast pace and the attention to detail that was needed to ensure a successful weekend for the industry.Since then I have gone on to be an Account manager for Creative NZ Ltd. My role is to build trusting relationships with clients and offer support to the salon and spa professional. I look after the Auckland region and pride myself on my dedication to my clients and their business needs.This role allows me to work autonomously and I feel I am great at doing so.Alongside this I have also started a small business- A-style which covers personal shopping, wardrobe assessments and styling. With A-style I work with clients to build their own brand- ie., themselves and help to ensure that they have a fully equipped wardrobe with clothing that makes them feel stylish and confident every day.
