As I finish up my final year at UW-Madison in the Interior Architecture program, I am developing skills in programming, schematics, and design development. I am proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp, as well as Abobe's Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. With my unlimited creativity and intrinsic drive to make a difference, I am a designer with a purpose to contribute meaningfully to our world. I find passion in unconventionality, and I push to create spaces that tell stories, foster inclusivity, and truly uplift people more than we accept in many of our environments where we spend much of our lives. I love to work with people and be a part of environments that inspire me.Pursuing a certificate in Design Strategy, I have experience working with Merry-Go-Strong, a nonprofit who works with woman artisans in Tharaka-Nithi, Kenya, where I assisted various projects: providing a robust research program for the Kumbana Makerie which is based on empathetic research & observations, visited the homes of the artisans to identify needs & track progress on initiatives such as installing solar lamps, water tanks, & pit toilets while providing support for on-going development activities including identifying new product development opportunities based on local skills & resources, and completed a Kenyan home redesign with traditional and modern touches, using only local materials, artwork, & furnishings.
