Professor Ali Al-Badi is the Dean of Gulf College in Muscat, Oman. Prior to this role, he held the position of Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs and Research at Gulf College. Previously, he was an Associate Professor of Computing Sciences and Assistant Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research at the College of Economics and Political Science at Sultan Qaboos University in Muscat.He is the chairman of the Oman Association for Quality in Higher Education (OAQHE), Professor Ali is an external reviewer of the Ministry of Higher Education Research and Innovation and Oman Authority for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance of Education (OAAAQA). He has more than 29 years of practical and academic experience in Computing Sciences. Throughout his career, Professor Al-Badi has contributed significantly to many college, university, and national committees. Ali’s research interests are Social Media, Cloud computing, Web Usability & Accessibility; Big data; Portal Development; IT Disaster Recovery, and Business Continuity. Ali has a good record of publication (citations: 4200; h-index: 31; i10-index: 69), having published more than one hundred and forty-three (143) international conference/journal papers, and chapters in a book or report.
