Graduated as a student majoring in Architecture at UC Berkeley, Albert's career path in the last 10 years seems much deviated from his original planned course, yet the new and unexpected experiences had put his insight and perspective into a new level.Every Architecture student aims to be an Architect one day and it is no exception for Albert. Since his graduation, Albert had joined 2 Architectural firms in Hong Kong which provided him essential training in conversion of theoretical design and technical which he learnt at school into practice.Hoping to widen his insight in different fields, Albert accepted an unexpected offer from a high-end luxury brand and had become a Project Designer in Cartier for Asia Pacific region – his first step to become a unique breed of professional in both Architecture and luxury retail industry.In the next coming years, Albert had joined Gucci and Giorgio Armani as in-house Designer/ Project Manager to take part in retail store projects in Asia Pacific. With his knowledge and unique experience in mixed environment of project management, design and luxury retail, he successfully demonstrated his in-depth understanding of the linkage between architecture and commercial/ operational needs.In 2009, Albert had joined East Joint Designs, a renowned luxury retail store contracting company in Hong Kong and China, as a Project Director and resided in Shanghai to start a Project team to serve clients including Prada, Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana etc. in various luxury retail store projects. His stay in China gave him the closest look to the construction and commercial environment enabling him to foresee potential opportunity or risk laid ahead from as broad as store location selection to as detail as local carpet sourcing.Currently, Albert works in Spaze Design Ltd as Project Director handling different client accounts across various business sectors including Luxury Retail and Commercial for projects in different nature and scale.
