De club groeide qua inkomsten zo'n 10-15% per jaar, tussen 2012 en 2017, en was daarmee de snelst groeiende club uit het betaalde voetbal gedurende deze periode. Tegelijkertijd werd de schuldenlast flink afgebouwd en hoorde Excelsior bij mijn vertrek tot de 5 gezondste clubs van Nederland!
