Many types of training are involved with becoming a leader. I have had many courses involving leadership, from distance education courses to resident courses. All of the courses are there for you to gain knowledge of what is expected of you as a leader, and at that point it is all tested as you are put into leadership roles. I have been in leadership positions such as a squad leader, platoon sergeant, and a vehicle commander. All these roles helped to shape my form of leadership to where I can effectively use command and control to ensure not only the completion of tasks but to ensure the general welfare of those appointed below me. I am a firm believer in leading from the front and setting the example for others to follow.I graduated with a degree in Marketing Management, with the main emphasis on marketing. I have been tasked to create marketing strategies for new products entering new and existing markets as well as creating business plans to start a marketing consulting business. During my time as a laborer, I have fulfilled many roles. I have been at my current company for 12.5 years during which I have done everything from doing the basic jobs of installing natural gas mains and services, working on meter sets at customers' houses, acting as the PR spokesperson for our crew to the neighborhoods we work in as well as operating equipment to ensure we complete projects on time and to the customers' satisfaction. I have also ran a crew as a stand in for our foreman on a three man crew. Using my leadership abilities during that time our crew finished our project a full two days ahead of schedule.
