The Araguaia Nickel Project (ANP) is Brazil´s next major ferronickel mine, a Tier 1 mining project with a large high-grade scalable resource, a long mine life and a low-cost source of ferronickel for the stainless-steel industry. The project comprises an open pit nickel laterite mining operation that delivers ore from a number of pits to a central rotary kiln electric furnace (RKEF) metallurgical processing facility and is being prepared for construction. Following the successful delivery of ANP, the Vermelho Nickel Project (VNP), which uses a hydrometallurgical flowsheet, will be implemented to supply nickel to the battery and chemical industries.
