Cooper, a community leader who passed away unexpectedly in 2016 of a massive heart attack at the age of 34.Organized a 3-day clinic for 11th and 12th graders. Called Total Fitness Concepts (TFC) Strength and Conditioning Sports Clinic, it included specialized training for athletes--including elite athletes-- in football, basketball, soccer, and baseball and a guest appearance from Trea Essex, from the Pittsburgh Steelers, who spoke to the youth and shared his two Super Bowl rings. Initiated into the Akan System of Life Cycle Development program, which is a West African-based rite of passage focusing on personhood, responsibility and the relationship between individual and community.
