Software includes PC and SAAS based products that enable the formatting and printing of the wearables as well as automated inmate, staff and patient monitoring and tracking.  4X increase in the new sales pipeline worth $1.4Million in first 12 months of my arrival that replaced a sales pipeline found to be made up of 85% inactive leads and opportunities with a 1000+ day aging. Secured 4 patents/2 TM that added significant value to the worth of the business via Blue Tooth wearables product line BlueTrac ™ for RTLS tracing with reliable cut band alarming technology integrated with the Nokia/GTL HAIP Real Time Location Solution (RTLS) system that had led to a financially successful and growing partnership with both Nokia and GTL. This is significant, in that it accounted for a multi-year contract worth over $9 Million annually and resulting in a nearly 2.5X increase in annual sales. This will enable an M&A opportunity and exit strategy for Endur ID’s purchase. Products hardware and software were developed with design and mfg teams in China and Europe.  Transformed Endur ID from a fledgling software company to a full-blown software company with operational systems, finance, quoting, support, installation and IT support systems and staffing in less than a year.

• Managed all micro fine micron level geometry and tolerance molding manufacturing operations, maintenance, program management, customer interface and product design. LED injection molding tooling for tight tolerance reel-to-reel insert molded AC and LDMOS IC packaging application using proprietary plastic materials. Rapid prototyping, quoting, vendor management, tooling standards, specifications, debug, manufacturing support, scheduling, budgeting and project management. QLP is a startup. Key Achievements: Company was missing design and mfg process to enable the use of a proprietary plastic material to mold hermetic IC packaging application. I invented a revolutionary new molding process, product design and tooling technology to enable the hermetic molding of LCP plastic into lead frames to replace ceramic LED, QFN, LDMOS IC packaging technology. This was instrumental in allowing the company to succeed and go into full scale production. Managed $1.4 Million budget. Staff of 11 direct reports.

Managed engineering, tool shop, program management, product design and R&D, continuous improvement, quoting, customer relations, process/manufacturing engineering, document control and quality assurance organizations for medical, automotive and electronics industry product developer and manufacture. Multiple locations support throughout the US. Medical products range from pipettes, chemical and reagent test systems, veterinary test devices, fertility systems in Class 100K or white room molding and manufacturing environments. Directed key medical device development programs ranging from product design, prototyping, testing, prototype tooling/testing, medium to high volume production tooling and complex automation systems with vision rejection and replenishment systems, assembly process and procedures with Client OEM’s. Documented all aspects of product design, SAT, FAT, IQ, PQ, OQ and digital photograph supported assembly procedures. SciTech was acquired by Vaupell .Key Achievements:I put metrics in place and performed gap analysis. Led a formal continuous improvement program attaching gaps to optimize profits, quality, productivity, efficiency, operating costs, customer satisfaction, inventory reduction/control, quoting process centric to landing new buisness and documentation. These improvements directly led to a 6-8% growth in sales due to newly awarded quoting opportunities. Company had no medical industry focused QA structure. Managed and developed the Quality Assurance organization and all FIA, capability study, SPC, work inspections, IQ/PQ/OQ, DOE and documentation systems and procedures. Responsible for developing and implementing all departmental procedures, forms, document control, MRB systems, audit systems and policies required to successfully operate a lean manufacturing operation with extremely low scrap; and return rates; high customer satisfaction; high margins, and an engineering driven and Q/A supported proactive problem solving organization.

Managed and implemented all aspects of new product mechanical/electrical development of high end computer peripherals, raid and connectors from concept design, CAE, prototyping, tooling, test, automation and full scale production. Managed all engineering customer interaction and coordination with all OEM drive suppliers, designers, prototypers and toolmakers with little to no design specifications and significant reverse engineering.• Directed a multi-discipline staff of senior designers and tooling/project engineers, EE, Software, contract designers, industrial designers, purchasing and manufacturing engineering through project team. VST was acquired by SmartDisk.Key Achievements: When I joined VST, there were no internal or external design engineering capabilities. Created and staffed the in-house mechanical product design, eng. document control, Industrial Design, tooling and manufacturing organization, from a startup company oriented series of contractors to a full time staff of 8-10. This significant effort involved, in part, the selection and installation of a CAD, PDM system and high productivity product design environment capable of developing, designing and modeling new products in 2-4 weeks.  A large qty of new products had to be developed. I managed the design, development, tooling, automation and transition into full scale production of multiple new products, with thin wall design/tooling/molding, thermal management, EMI/RFI, vibration and shock, high cosmetics requirements, in 10-12 weeks intervals, which contributed dramatically to growing the business in new product revenue.

Managed Class 101 tooling design, BOM, cavitation, specification, quoting, budget, SPC, DOE, tool debug, process optimization, automation and qualification of all responsible new product programs and tool modification/repairs for existing tools. Managed all plastic mat’l selection for new products with regulatory. Responsible for providing cradle to grave support to U.S. and Foreign BOSE plants. Performing C-Flow mold filling analysis for all new plastic part/tools for responsible new product programs and existing products tool designs and resolve existing manufacturing and existing products/tools to proactively optimize part/tool design and resolve existing manufacturing and part design problems. Developed numerous automotive applications with PEPAPS.
