◆Develop new supplier source,and coordinate approval of such source with QA and R&D departments.Obtain and review vendor specifications for raw material,components,finished goods and ensure compliance with approved technical specifications.◆Participating in the development of specifications for products,substitute material etc.◆Resolve vendor or contractor grievances and claims against suppliers.◆Following up and negotiating price quotations with suppliers,including general product prices,tooling prices,prices for new product developmensts.◆Manage the existing supplier maintenance processes to ensure the supplier base continues to meet company requirements for cost,quality,delivery and customer service.◆Represent companies in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers.◆Resovle problems referred by managers and serve as backup in the absence.

◆Create cost models: Make benchmark cost data available for easy use by a large number of Procurement Engineers with product focus.◆Assess and benchmark suppliers: Assess suppliers’ operational capabilities and roadmap, as well as their cost competitiveness.◆Support development of commodity strategy: As member of the Commodity Management team, contribute in a major way to defining the commodity strategy.◆Carry out technology scouting: maintain a future outlook for the technology, including latest innovations and developments of supplier landscape, to be shared regularly and on demand.◆Develop fact base to support negotiations. Assist the preparation of major negotiations with technology suppliers with appropriate facts of all kind.
